Day 1 Thu : Istanbul

Individual arrival at Istanbul airport, transfer to your hotel. Free time to recover from jet lag. Evening welcome briefing with your local tour guide and overnight.

Day 2 Fri : Istanbul

Guided full tour of the city stretching through two continents. We will visit the most famous sites; Topkapi Palace residents of the sultans, (excluding harem), the ancient Hippodrome, the impressive Blue Mosque, famous for its white and azure-blue ceramic tiles; majestic St. Sophia church, the symbol of ancient Byzantium. We finish today’s sightseeing with a visit to the Grand Bazaar, the largest covered bazaar in the world with over 66 streets of shops. In the evening an optional dinner with belly dancing entertainment. (B)

Day 3 Sat : Gallipoli – Dardanelles – Canakkale 

Drive to Gallipoli, through the European lands of Turkey. Visit Anzac Cove and Lone pine cemetery, Chunuk Bair famed WWI sites, then across the Dardanelles Strait by ferry boat to Canakkale on the Asian side where we will spend a night. (B,D)

Day 4 Sun : Troy – Pergamum – Izmir

This morning we visit legendary Troy with its famous wooden horse, then drive to Pergamon, the site of the ancient Medical Center Asclepion considered the oldest known hospital in the world. Before arriving into Asclepion we will stop at a typical village and will enjoy lunch with locals in a traditional way. Later on continue on to Izmir, the major city on the Aegean coastline for overnight. (B,L, D)

Day 5 Mon : Ephesus  – Izmir

This morning we embark on an excursion to the site of Ephesus, the best preserved Hellenistic-Roman city in the world. Walk on Roman marble sidewalks, visit the agora, temples, theatres and the famous Library of Celsius. After this excursion to Roman past we’ll drive up the nearby hill to visit the little stone cottage where it is believed Virgin Mary where she spent the last years of her life accompanied by St John. On the way back to Izmir we stop at a local rug factory for a short demonstration. Tonight enjoy an optional dinner at a local restaurant. (B)

Day 6 Tue : Izmir – Bodrum

After breakfast drive to Bodrum to visit the Castle of St.Peter and the renowned Underwater Museum that was awarded the best Underwater Museum of the World in 2000s. Dinner & Overnight in Bodrum. (B, D)

Day 7 Wed : Bodrum – Kos

After breakfast, the day is free for personal activities. Optional day island Kos. Overnight in Bodrum. (B)

Day 8 Thu : Bodrum

Our services end after breakfast. (B). Note: This is a good itinerary for connecting to the Greek Islands or for joining a Turkish coastal cruise.
