Private Escorted Tour –  12 days / 6 nights – Daily Departures

Day 1. Moscow

Arrival in Moscow and transfer to hotel. Day at leisure.

Day 2. Moscow – Sergiev Posad

Full day Sergiev Posad tour; visiting Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra, Monasteries and museums. Lunch in the restaurant near Monastery, return to Moscow for overnight.

Day 3. Moscow

Today we visit the Kremlin grounds tour with Assumption Cathedral entrance. Walk tour of Stary Arbat, Moscow’s most famed pedestrian shopping street area dating back to the 15th century. Lunch at a restaurant with Russian cuisine and a metro tour see Moscow’s elegant Metro stations.

Day 4. Moscow to St Petersburg

Free time in the morning and then transfer to the train station to board the fast SAPSAN Speed train to St. Petersburg. Arrival and transfer to the hotel for check in. Overnight

Day 5. St. PetersburgMoscow St Petersburg and the Aurora

A panoramic city sightseeing tour including visit to St. Isaac Cathedral, Peter and Paul Fortress with the tombs of the last Czar and his family. Cruise around the city on the Neva river and the many canals of St Petersburg, called the “Venice of the North”

Day 6. St Petersburg-Pushkin

Full day Petergof tour – visit to Grand Palace and Lower park with fountains cascade. Lunch at local restaurant.

Day 7. St. Petersburg – Murmansk

A morning tour of the famed Hermitage palace museum, one of Europe’s most around galleries. Transfer to railway station.

Day 8 St. Petersburg – Murmansk

Travel this extraordinary route through Russia to the Northern tip of Europe.

Day 9. Murmansk

Your guide will meet you at at the train station and start of the city sightseeing tour. Visits include the sailors memorial, “Kursk” submarine memorial, WW2 Soviet Polar defenders memorial and other city attractions. Take an excursion to atomic icebreaker “Lenin”. This was the first atomic ship built in USSR especially for the North Arctic waterway. Transfer to PARK INN MURMANSK hotel 4* or similar for check in.

Day 10. Murmansk – Teriberka

Breakfast at hotel. 09.00 – departure to Teriberka settlement located on the Arctic ocean coast. En-route we stop to view the breathtaking landscape with rocks and tundra. About 11.30 we arrive at Teriberka. We take an excursion to the waterfall, Dragon Cave.

Then a visit to the old wooden ships cemetery, old military airfield, old meteorology station, established here in 1893.
We have a picnic right on the Arctic ocean shore, with hot tea and sandwiches. Then we return back to Murmansk.

This evening at 23.00 – 02.00 we depart for the Northern Lights. Note: This could be moved to one of the other evenings, depending on the weather conditions. This way we will maximize the chances to see the Northern Lights.

Day 11. Murmansk – Saam village

Breakfast is at the hotel. 07.00  A.M. breakfast at hotel and checking out. 08.30 – departure to Saam village. Familiarization with the casual life of Saams – ethnos of Kolsky Peninsula.
You will take part in the sacrificing ceremony (please keep 10 or 50 kopecks coins ready), in the traditional folk games such as lasso throwing, Saam ball playing. You will be able to feed husky, Northern deer, Arctic foxes.

Local lunch with traditional fish soup. Then we visit to the viewing deck of the local iron open-mine (300 m deep). At 16.30 Arrival to Kirovsk – the Arctic mining capital. City sightseeing tour, visit to Mineralogical museum. Transfer to MOUNTAIN VALLEY hotel and check in and overnight.

Day 12. Murmansk – Hibiny – Murmansk

After check out, we depart to Hibiny. Taking cable car to Hibiny mountain. Excursion to the Snow village. Lunch and departure to Murmansk. 18.00 Arrival to Murmansk and transfer to the train station (in case the train departure back to Moscow, the train takes 1 day and 13 hours).
Alternately, we can
transfer you to the hotel for the extra night stay (not included into the package cost) in case the flight departure preferred.
