Day 1 ZURICH
Arrival at Zurich airport or train station where our driver will be waiting with your travel documents and tickets and will take you to your hotel for overnight. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
Day 2 ZURICH
After breakfast embark on a regular city tour in Zurich. Discover Switzerland economic capital regarded as “The city with the best quality of life”. Visit the national museum, the world famous business center at the “Bahnhofstraße”, the largest clock in Europe on the tower of St. Peter church; the picturesque Guild houses, the Opera House and the Zurich lake. Take the Cogwheel train ride for an excellent view of the residential zone of “Zü-richberg” with its villas and parks. You are going to visit the University of Zurich and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) with its most famous former student and professor of Albert Einstein. At the end of the day we stop at the old town to visit the Fraumünster church dating back to 885 AD and famous for its Chagall windows. Overnight in Zurich.
Day 3 ZURICH – INTERLAKEN
In the afternoon continue to the town of Interlaken an the shores of two beautiful Alpine lakes offering a charming panorama between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz and sheltered by the imposing mountain peaks of Eiger, Mönch and the highest one, Jungfrau. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 4 INTERLAKEN – Jungfraujoch – Interlaken
After breakfast you visit one of the top attractions of Switzerland: The ”Jungfraujoch – The Top of Europe” a declared natural world heritage UNESCO site. Take the cogwheel train up to Europe’s highest train station, at an elevation of 3.444 m. Once you are at the top, immerse yourself in a fascinating world of ice and snow and do not forget to visit the Ice Palace, a unique ice world in the heart of the glacier, an unforgettable experience of birds, animals, penguins, people, furniture,etc carved in ice.
Day 5 Golden Pass Line: INTERLAKEN – Zweisimmen – MONTREUX
Walk over to the train station and take the train to Zweisimmen, where the Golden Pass Line starts its way to Montreux. Enjoy the ride and the unforgettable views of some of the most beautiful places in Switzerland while traveling comfortably aboard this scenic train. Overnight in Montreux.
Day 6 MONTREUX – ZERMATT
In the morning make your way to the train station and take the local train to Täsch. From there the next train will take you to Zermatt, one of the world’s most famous ski resort town located at the foot of the majestic Mount Matterhorn. In this town cars are banned in order to preserve its original infrastructure. Overnight in Zermatt.
Day 7 GLACIER EXPRESS: ZERMATT – ST. MORITZ
After breakfast you board the famous Glacier Express. In the comfortable panorama car you can enjoy spectacular views of the Swiss Alps. St. Moritz is one of the most favourite destinations in Switzerland, regardless of the season of the year this place dazzles you with its beauty, either with a landscape full of snow or with different green shades and summer flowers. Overnight in St. Moritz.
Day 8 Bernina Express: ST. MORITZ – TIRANO -LUGANO
In the morning make your way to the train station. The first stop of the day is Tirano. In Tirano you see
the wonderful novel palace of the XVII and XVIII centuries, this city is famous for its baroque Marian
shrine. Then you continue to Lugano on the shores of the lake wearing the same name. Lugano has its own Mediterranean type micro-climate and is well known for its incredible scenery, abundant water, dry and sunny climate as well as its mountains and hills near the Italian border. Overnight in Lugano.
Day 9 Gotthard Panorama Express: LUGANO – FLUELEN – LUCERNE
After breakfast board the famous Gotthard Panorama Express (formerly known as the Wilhelm Tell Express) to Lucerne. The first part of the trip is a ride in a normal train from Lugano to Bellinzona, the capital of the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. The city has three impressive medieval castles designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites that were originally built to control the Ticino mountain pass. After a short break the trip continues with a train ride on the Gotthard Panorama Express to Flüelen, a very small lovely town. Here you board a steamboat and cruise through lake Lucerne through a marvelous landscape to the city of Lucerne. Overnight in Lucerne.
Day 10 LUCERNE
Lucerne is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Switzerland. This city has the oldest covered bridge in Europe as well as cobbled streets, baroque churches and historic houses, for example, the luxurious Concert Hall. This famous bridge called “Kapellbrücke” is considered the oldest of Europe and is the icon of this beautiful city. Overnight in Lucerne.
Day 11 LUCERNE – ZURICH
Make your way to the train station in Lucerne at your convenience to board the train to Zurich. The tour
ends at the Train Station or Airport in Zurich.
