Day 1, Sunday. DUBROVNIK
After independent arrival at Dubrovnik airport, transfer to your hotel where you will meet with your tour guide. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 2, Monday. DUBROVNIK – MOSTAR – SARAJEVO
After breakfast depart to Mostar. Enjoy a city tour of the Old City of Mostar the typical Turkish village immortalized by many artists and now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Tour its elegant Bridge, old Bazaar, the Mosque and a Typical Turkish house. Continue to Sarajevo. Afternoon city tour of Sarajevo, including Bascarsija, and Gazi Husrev Bey Mosque. Dinner and overnight in Sarajevo.
Day 3, Tuesday. SARAJEVO – BELGRADE
After breakfast, drive north to Belgrade with a stop en route for lunch. (on own) Arrival Belgrade. Typical Balkan dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in Belgrade.
Day 4, Wednesday. BELGRADE – ZAGREB
After breakfast we embark on a sightseeing tour of Belgrade. The tour includes a visit to the famed Kalemegdan Fortress, guarding the city overlooking the confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers. We will also see Republic Square and Knez Mihailova Street, Saint Sava Temple, the largest Orthodox Church in the city, and Tito’s Memorial who was the unifying ruler of former Yugoslavia. Drive to Zagreb in the afternoon for dinner and overnight.
Day 5, Thursday. ZAGREB – PLITVICE
Morning city tour of Zagreb, including the fortified Upper Town, the city’s historical center, St. Mark’s Church with its multicolored roof, the Cathedral, the Croatian National Theater and the University. After the city tour, drive to Plitvice and tour the Plitvice Lakes National Park on the UNESCO’s List of World Natural Heritage Sites. Sixteen lake, each at a different level, are joined in a series of cascading waterfalls. Surrounded by dense wood Plitvice Lakes are a natural phenomenon of a rare and unique beauty. Dinner and overnight in Plitvice.
Day 6, Friday. PLITVICE – TROGIR – SPLIT
Morning departure back to the beautiful Adriatic Coast where we will see the old town of Trogir founded by Greeks in the 3rd century BC. and later ruled by Romans and Venetians. We will visit the 12th century Cathedral of St. Lawrence, then continue to Split. City tour of Split, this beautiful Dalmatian town with a rich past dating back to ancient Greeks and favored by the Romans due to its pleasant climate and gorgeous views. We will see the Diocletian’s Palace on UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Heritage with Peristyle, Jupiter’s Temple and the Cathedral. a massive fortress complex. Dinner and overnight in Split.
Day 7, Saturday. SPLIT – DUBROVNIK
After breakfast , departure to Dubrovnik. Sightseeing tour of Dubrovnik, included in UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Heritage. You will visit the Franciscan Monastery with Europe’s third oldest pharmacy, the Rector’s palace and the Cathedral. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 8, Sunday. DUBROVNIK
After breakfast, the tour ends with transfer to Dubrovnik airport.
