Thursday departures March to October from Istanbul to the Hellenistic sites of Turkey along the Western shore.

Visit: Istanbul, Gallipoli, Dardanelles, Canakkale,Troy, Pergamon, Izmir, Ephesus, Izmir, Bodrum, Kos, Pamukkale, Perge, Aspendos and Antalya

Day 1 Thu : Istanbul
Greeting at Istanbul airport and transferred to your hotel. Free time to relax followed by an evening welcome briefing and overnight.

Day 2 Fri : Istanbul
Full day tour including to the famous most famous sites of Istanbul including the sultans’ residence: Topkapi Palace (excluding harem), Hippodrome, the 16th century Blue Mosque, the majestic St. Sophia, symbol of ancient Byzantium, and finally the Grand Bazaar. Tonight optional: Dinner with belly dancing entertainment. (B)

Day 3 Sat : Gallipoli – Dardanelles – Canakkale
This morning we drive though the European lands of Turkey to Gallipoli, where we will visit Anzac Cove and Lone pine cemetery, Chunuk Bair reminders of the painful events during WWI. Continue across the Dardanelles Strait by ferry boat to the Asian side to Canakkale where we have dinner and overnight (B,D)

Day 4 Sun : Troy – Pergamum – Izmir
We start today’s excursion with a visit to the site of Troy immortalized by Homer’s Iliad and of course Hollywood. See the reconstructed legendary wooden horse. Drive to Pergamon, an important Greek city, the site of the ancient Medical Center Asclepion, the first known hospital in the world. Before arriving into Asclepion, enjoy lunch with locals in a traditional local village. Continue on to Izmir, the largest city on the Aegean Coast for dinner and overnight. (B,L)

Day 5 Mon : Ephesus & St. Mary’s House – Izmir
Tour the famous ruins of Ephesus, the best preserved Greco-Roman city in the world with it elegant marble side walks, public buildings, theatres and temples remaining testaments to former prosperity. Later, we drive uphill to the charming and simple little stone house of the Virgin Mary, where she spent the last years of her life accompanied b St John. View a demonstration of a local rug production center and see the skill of local craftsmen in this old art and craft typical of Turkish life. Tonight optional dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 6 Tue: Izmir – Bodrum
After breakfast drive to Bodrum to visit the castle of St.Peter and the renowned Underwater Museum that was awarded the best Underwater Museum of the World in 2000s. Dinner & Overnight in Bodrum. (B D)

Day 7 Wed: Bodrum – Kos
After breakfast, the day is free for personal activities. Optional day island Kos. Overnight in Bodrum. (B)

Day 8 Thu: Bodrum – Pamukkale
After breakfast, drive through lush valleys to Pamukkale, the Cotton Fortress, with white lime cascades formed by hot mineral springs. Visit ruins of the Roman health spa of Hierapolis and enjoy a swim in your hotel’s thermal pool. (B.D)

Day 9 Fri: Pamukkale – Antalya
After breakfast depart for Antalya, dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 10 Sat: Perge –Aspendos–Antalya
This morning visit Perge and Aspendos afternoon is free for personal activities.Dinner at the hotel. (B, D)

Day 11 Sun: Antalya
Transfer to airport. End of services. (B)
